A training on project proposal writing was conducted with 17 (7 Females) participants by M’lup Russey Organization in Battambang from 18 till 21 July 2017. The participants are Managers and Directors of Residential Care Institutions (RCIs) that have been reintegrated to community based support or in preparation for the transition. The training aims to build capacity of RCIs to be able to write proposals applying for funding.
Key contents of the training included how to use problem and objective tree methods, how to develop project logical framework together with project goal, objective, output, activity, indicator, means of verification and assumption. Group work practices were also the important sessions for participants to get more understanding on these topics. Some RCI Directors expressed that the training provided them with both technical and practical knowledge on how to write a good project proposal and these skills are quite useful for them to raise funds to support their activities in the community.
“Assessment of RCI’s Capacity” action is being implemented by M’lup Russey with funding from Save the Children through the Family Care First initiative. Besides the proposal writing training, M’lup Russey also has other activities such as experience sharing meeting and case management training.
